Domestic Violence

Course Overview

Domestic violence is sadly common in Australian society. On average, over 700 instances or suspected instances of domestic violence are reported to police on a daily basis.

This module has been designed to introduce learners to the issue of domestic violence and its relevance to the workplace and society at large. It also provides some practical guidance as to how they might react in violent situations and some things they can do to help minimise the issue.

The final unit in this module also explains the purpose of the White Ribbon workplace accreditation program and gives some reasons why it is useful for organisations to take part in the program.
