Asbestos Awareness

Price: $49.00 (Incl. GST)

Course Overview

Asbestos was previously incorporated into thousands of materials throughout Australia, and was widely used in the construction, manufacturing and telecommunications industries because of its strength, durability, insulating properties and resistance to fire, electrical and chemical damage.

This course has been designed to increase the learner’s understanding of how to identify Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM). It will also raise their awareness of the hazards associated with working on or near ACM and how the hazards can be managed.

This module is appropriate for anyone who will be working in an area that contains asbestos; it does not, however, allow the learner to remove ACM.
