Personal Protective Equipment

Price: $49.00 (Incl. GST)

Course Overview

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is any clothing or equipment which, when worn and used correctly, protects part or all of the body from some foreseeable risk of injury or disease. PPE includes items such as protective footwear, headwear, gloves, hearing protection, breathing apparatus and eye protection.

When assessing risk, PPE is the least effective mechanism for control as the PPE in itself can be a hazard, especially if it is damaged or has deteriorated. This course will give learners an understanding of when to use different types of PPE as well as how to care for it to ensure it remains effective.
