Course Overview

Working outdoors in Australia presents a number of health and safety hazards, including exposure to extreme temperatures, ultraviolet (UV) radiation and dangerous animals. 

This course will increase the learners’ understanding and awareness of these hazards, and help them to understand how the risks of injury and illness associated with these hazards can be eliminated and minimised. By completing this course, learners will also understand how to recognise and manage the symptoms of common injuries and illnesses related to working outdoors.
